Air quality

If you are going on a short business trip (less than a few weeks) to a city with air pollution, the risk to healthy people is low. If you have sensitive airways and use an inhaler, for example, poor air quality could make you ill. Air pollution can have various causes: emissions from industry and traffic combined with the weather – dry conditions and little wind, or conversely strong winds causing desert dust or particles from forest fires to create smog.

For the current status of air quality at your business destination, you can check the Air Quality Index (AQI) here: World's Air Pollution: Real-time Air Quality Index.
